We have just celebrated a day of prayer and fasting. Prayer time is vital to our life in the Spirit because during that time God can prophesy to us. We enter into prayer as Paul did, with confidence, knowing that: "The eyes of our understanding being enlightened; we may know what is the hope of His calling, and what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in His saints, that we may know what is the exceeding greatness of His power towards us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power, Which He wrought in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in heavenly places." Ephesians 1:18-20 We are permitted to perceive His nature and character His glory that He has given us. It is an admonition and a promise assuring us that our soul is capable of giving expression to His image and likeness.
Our times of prayer join us to the people and the tradition of those that God has called and chosen through the ages to know Him. "Surely the Lord God will do nothing, but that He first reveal His secret unto His servants." Amos 3:7 We, like Paul, have reflected on our experience in Jesus Christ and have come to the realization that we can be transformed by the renewing of our mind.
The Spirit has revealed it to us, but it has been derived out from our own experience. Through our lives we are going to give the truth expression. We have come to the realization that God is glorifying Jesus Christ on earth in a people, and we have chosen to be motivated by that thought.
We have seen that as we have borne the image of the earthly, we can bear the image of the heavenly. It is a work of the Spirit but it is taking place in us. As we live in the Spirit we can walk in the Spirit.
We have been prepared to move from faith to faith. We are the sum total of our experience, that is why transformation is possible. We have been able to build line upon line, precept upon precept, sufficient to understand the power of transformation that works in us by the Holy Spirit. We have benefited individually by what we have received from the Lord. Now, that which we have understood and assimilated by His word and our experience, we can share with others. God has made us able ministers. The creation groans waiting for the manifestation of the Sons of God and we ourselves do groan seeking the redemption of our bodies. We cry out to God and press forward toward the mark of the prize of the high calling of God in Jesus Christ.
So we consider it most wondrous that we are alive on earth, called and chosen of God, capable of seeing the plan of God manifest in our lives. It is a vision that has seized our lives, believing that Jesus Christ be revealed on earth through a transformed people. We are people of faith with a strong grasp on reality. We believe correctly that we can be transfigured through the renewing of our mind. We have experienced the miracle of faith, of hope, and of love. We have a certainty that it possible to take off the old man and put on Christ. We believe that it is the Will of God for this mortal to put on immortality.
Thereby, the redemption of our soul is being revealed in action. The world is waiting to see His glory. We are willing to lay aside every weight, and run with patience the race that is set before us, believing what Jesus said: "When you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret; and your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly." Matthew 6:6 Being rewarded openly is seen in our ability to manifest Jesus Christ.
The Lord has said: I am thy shield and thy great reward. "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them." (Ephesians 2:10) The Lord intends that we become a light in the darkness. "And, that we may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which surpasses knowledge, that we might be filled with all the fullness of God." Ephesians 3:1819 The world is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God.
We have entered into a time of 'new beginnings'. We are assured that it is the right time to be renewed. It is time to be fully taken and apprehended by the vision of seeing the life of Jesus Christ formed within us. We have seen how believing has worked in our lives to reveal Jesus Christ and change the substance of our experience. We see the leading of the Spirit even though we have not walked this way before.
