THE POWER THAT WORKS IN YOU: BY MICHAEL BROD THE POWER THAT WORKS IN YOU: BY MICHAEL BROD

The Lord who has made Heaven and Earth has chosen us to show forth his glory. He has given to us the honor to manifest Jesus Christ. For God it is one comprehensive view. The image of His creation embraces within it the image of His people. It contains the knowledge that Jesus Christ would be manifest in the flesh, that He would be crucified, raised from the dead and exalted. God has revealed His intention to us by the Spirit. We have taken hold of what it truly means to be a human being. We have been caught up into a relation of intimacy with the Lord. We have been given the freedom to exceed every boundary that we have known and to manifest the fullness of Jesus Christ in a manner ordained of God.

Ephesians 2:6-7 God has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

We shall see His salvation in the land of the living. 2Thessalonians 1:10 He shall appear to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe. Even now -- not only may we behold his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father but see through faith ourselves raised and seated with Him in heavenly places.

Ephesians 2:10 We are the workmanship of God, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them. God has related all creation to Himself and has brought us into this relationship

Colossians 1:16-18 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible ... all things were created by him, and for him. 17 He is before all things, and by him all things consist. 18 He is the head of the body, the church: He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead" that in all things He might have the preeminence.

Hebrews 2:11 For both he that sanctifies and they who are sanctified are all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren

Ephesians 1:3-6 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: 4 According as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love. 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 6 Wherein he has made us accepted in the beloved.

God wanted us to be related to Him as His redeemed. We are unique and our uniqueness is the act of God's Will.

Philippians 3:20-21 20 For our conversation (who we are) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ 21 That He shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

We are looking from heavenly places, and He has chosen to show us all things that are relevant to us by the Spirit. The power by which Jesus is able to change us, is the power, by which He subdues all things. He subdues all things by the reality of His own existence, which is the determinate will of God. The Lord will clothe us with His own nature and existence.

Isaiah 61:10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

We are being transformed by the presence of the Lord. We are able to see and comprehend the transformation that is being effected in our lives. We perceive the change and understand that we are being freed from the old man and are putting on Jesus Christ.

2Corinthians 3:18 And we all, with open face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

Isaiah 61:11 For as the earth brings forth her bud, and as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.

The creation awaits the manifestation of the Sons of God. God has given us many great and precious promises to assure us that these things shall come to pass. It is His intention to have us be partakers of his divine nature. As the earth brings forth the bud and a garden produces so has the Lord has authorized our lives to be transformed by the power and presence of Jesus Christ. Be of good cheer the Lord is with you.
